Food Labels
Its very interesting how the trans fat is now needed to be put on the food labels. I know that that majority of what America eats is manufactured food and not too incredibly healthy. I know I do! I looked at a penut butter label in our pantry and there was no trans fat, but 16g of total fat. It doesnt have a whole lot of ingredients, but what it does have is peanuts, sugar, hydrogenated veg. oil and mollasses. Kinda wierd.

I once read in a nutrition book that they use the same kind of sugar as in fake cake frosting as they do in peanut butter... but isn't sugar just sugar? I never really figured out what the book meant by that, nor have I ever been able to find anything like that again. I'm pretty crazy about peanut butter; however, I've never been a fan of the all natural sugar free stuff with the layer of peanut oil on top. Maybe it's really just the fat and sugar I like.
ReplyDeletehey i looked at peanut butter too haha cool! I dunno if I want to eat that stuff anymore! I hate how everything we eat is processed!
